The 10 Best Met Gala 2019 Lewks

1. Kim Kardashion in Mugler

Inspired by the Califonia Girl aesthetic of just coming out of the ocean, this look nails camp. The details like the wet hair and jewels hanging off that mimic water droplets really make this dress stand out.

2. Lily Collins in Giambattista Valli

Priscilla Presley lives her life in Camp fashion so it was fitting to base a Camp look on her iconic style.

3. Zendaya in Tommy Hilfiger

Even though this was kind of a rip off of Zac Posen's 2016 Met Gala light up dress designed for Claire Danes, the performance that went along with it is what puts this ensemble in the top 10. Her stylist actually waved a magic wand to make it glow during the red carpet.

4. Lupita Nyong'o in Versace

This outfit is so ugly but that is part of the many thing Camp umbrellas so it fits perfectly. The fact that Versace takes themselves so seriously while also designing mostly tacky party dresses is also another cherry on top.

5. Ezra Miller in Burberry

I don't think that anyone expected Burberry to show out a look, but we sure did expect Ezra to. The makeup and props add a whole other level to this, as there is so much to enjoy.

6. Elle Fanning in Mui Mui

This served Retro Barbie realness, complete with the heaviest manicure ever and fun makeup. The ironic accessories that say "The Met" drives home the self aware but still serious vibe of Camp.

7. Hailee Steinfeld in Viktor and Rolf

Irony is a common theme in this years Met Gala and Hailee Steinfeld is no exception. The giant letters saying "No Photos Please" plastered across the dress is a genius tongue-in-cheek when you know you are attending the most photographed fashion events of the year.

8. Janelle Monae in Christian Siriano

Picasso's paintings were the inspiration for this over the top dress, complete with a blinking eye on Monae's left breast. All of his painting represent Camp because they are so abstract that they are humorous, but still contain a lot of serious meaning.

9. The Jenner Sisters in Versace

These sisters are listed together because their looks go hand in hand, taking inspiration from the evil step sisters in "Cinderella." While feathers were overused this year, these feathers were done in a unique and tastefully tacky way.

10. Micheal Urie in Christian Siriano

Micheal Urie is one of the only two men on this list, but one of the dozens who wore androgynous looks this year. The pure classiness of this outfit makes me wonder why everyone did not do something like this.
